Mayor Jocell Aimee R. Vistan-Casaje was born in Plaridel, Bulacan. She is the second child of the late mayor, Hon. Jaime J. Vistan, and the former mayor, Hon. Anastacia R. Vistan. Granted with Freshman Merit Scholar, she studied with focused goal and enthusiasm at Ateneo de Manila University. There, she finished her bachelor’s degree in Management Engineering.

Even before her political career, Mayor Jocell was a meticulous, hard-working employee and a genuine community volunteer. She was awarded, “Natatangi at Matagumpay na Kabataan sa Larangan ng Pagnenegosyo” in Gintong Kabataan Awards.

With the heart and mind of a future leader, she continued her parents’ legacy. Running on a platform of renewed progression, she was elected Municipal Mayor in 2013. And, because of her proven leadership skill, she was re-elected without opponent in 2016. She then served two terms as a mayor, where she seized the first Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Award of Plaridel, with the latter becoming the only town in the Province of Bulacan to have six consecutive awards in SGLG.

Six years into her previous progressive administration, Plaridel received multiple recognitions and awards from different agencies. She was well-known for her effective leadership, literacy, health, and social service advocacies. In this regard, she was awarded as a Hall of Famer in Literacy and in the National Social Welfare and Development’s Gawad Parangal’s search for Outstanding Local Chief Executives Municipality Category in 1st to 3rd Class. The esteemed mayor also received a National Honor Awardee, and the Gawad Amerika Awards recognized her efforts for outstanding governance, granting her the Most Outstanding in Public Service Award, along with other famous personalities and politicians.

She won her re-election bid in May 2022, with a transformed movement to sustainable development and continued service to have progressive and good governance in Plaridel, Bulacan. All of these were achieved because of her faith in her parents’ undying belief, “Ang paglilingkod sa kapwa, ay paglilingkod din sa Diyos.”

Currently, Mayor Jocell is serving the Plarideleños with her strong leadership and principle, so that, Plaridel, diretso sa progreso!
