Mission
To enhance the long-term sustainability of the Municipality of Plaridel by developing a framework in reducing environmental impacts, climate change resilient, and increasing awareness thru healthy community and well protected natural resources.
Mandate
The Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office is mandated to ensure the implementation of environmental protection services of the Municipality by being the lead agency in-charge in developing plans and strategies to conserve, preserve and protect the environment and natural resources of Plaridel
Functions
1. Develops and causes the implementation of municipal plan for the protection, conservation and rehabilitation of the environment and natural resources of the municipality;
2. Develops and issues implementing guidelines, procedures and standards for the protection, conservation and rehabilitation of the environment and natural resources including those that pertains to effective enforcement of existing rules and regulations;
3. Develops, installs and maintains an effective system of monitoring, evaluation of plan, implementation and enforcement of rules and regulations;
4. Links with other offices and agencies for effective plan implementation and enforcement of rules and regulations.
